Marriott International Inc. expects an increased number of competing hotels will convert to its brands during the downturn, a senior vice president told an investor conference Tuesday.
“We’ve seen in the past, large numbers of conversions of competitor hotels to our brands during periods of weak economic growth,” said Laura Paugh, senior vice president of investor relations.
